Comeo and Pharmacolog join forces

ComeoCare™, the leading medication management system software developed by Knoware, offers a comprehensive solution for the prescription, preparation, and administration of medication treatments for patients suffering from cancer. In a continuous pursuit of monitoring and managing the quality of its software, Knoware is with Pharmacolog to integrate ComeoCare™ with PrepLog™ to improve pharmaceuticals compounding quality control.

Pharmacolog is a company specialized in providing quality assurance solutions for safe administration of medical drugs. Their integrated solution PrepLog™, allows to control quality by verifying the identity and concentration of injectable medications, quickly and efficiently, at the compounding phase.

Both partners are combining knowledge and technology to offer a comprehensive solution that provides added value for hospital pharmacies. The purpose  of the joint project is to increase safety for the patients, by associating two levels of quality control. On the first level, ComeoCare helps physicians to choose a regimen of high-risk medication and adapt the doses to the patient's clinical data. ComeoCare offers a complete traceability for all treatments and prescriptions throughout their life cycle. On the second level, PrepLog acts as a complementary and final extra validation step by checking each chemotherapy dose using spectrometric validation. It’s only when the prescribed medication has been tested and validated by PrepLog that it can be released for administration.
